Branding of SKunkwave
Coming up with a logo mark for Skunkwave was a bit of a tricky one. Originally a logo type was going to be considered as the main form of depiction in regards to the overall branding.
As we worked on the logo type, we soon settled on number 6. It was simple and streamlined with the elements of the wave making the face of the skunk with a positive and negative space that a skunk is known for. The wave style typeface was developed from the vast editing of the typeface of BD Jupiter, a space age style typeface, while turning it into wave-forms.
Furthering the brand
While the wave-form style typeface looks fun and unique, it at times can be hard to read from certian angles. Thus, the unedited version is used for most of the visual branding including business cards and the website itself.
