Designed for the United States Postal Service as a part of their monthly stamp collection, this lovely postage stamp was created in honor of the 240th anniversary of the discovery of the planet Uranus.
Originally discovered in 1781 by astronomer William Herschel, this stamp displays the stunning visual of Uranus and its offset orbit. As its vertical rings cut through the void of space, we see its two largest moons; Oberon, and Titania in orbit around it which were also discovered at the same time. All of it bathed in the warming glow of the sun twinkling in the distance.

The stamp itself is also presented with a concept ad done in the style of modern-day stamp adverts that are posted on the official USPS’s Facebook page and Instagram. Showing off the product with an accompanying piece of artwork which, in this case, was an alternate design meant for the stamp. Adding a stunning visual of the gorgeous blue planet that is often overlooked given its easily mocked name.
